Q. The app doesn't hear my voice.
Please check that SpeakGreat has permission to use the Microphone and Speech Recognition in your device Settings. On iOS: Settings > SpeakGreat. Also make sure English (US) dictation/voice data is enabled on your device.
Q. Does the app need the internet?
No. SpeakGreat works fully offline. Speech recognition runs on your device, and your voice never leaves your phone.
Q. The first word of my sentence is sometimes missed.
Tap the microphone button, wait a brief moment, then start speaking.
Q. How are the stars decided?
The app compares what the speech recognizer heard with the quote: 50% match = ★1, 70% = ★2, 90% = ★3. Your best score for each quote is saved on your device.
